Today was a free day Pat and Jane, Ed and I scouted out Mammoth area. We had lunch in town and made our plans for tomorrow. I have found that on these trips things come up and plans are subject to change. LOL Our first day in and we are changing plans. We checked out this restaurant that was highly recommended and on Wednesday night, it is $10.00 night. Garry and Marilyn were going to cook dinner tonight but with a deal like that we were able to change and have the dinner tomorrow. The place was the Eagles Nest restaurant at Double Eagle Resort and Spa. www.doubleeagle.com The food was amazing and everyone was happy with their meal. The scenery was awesome with waterfalls in the background. Some of the guys went fishing today, there were no bites other than the mosquitos. That is the one downfall here, the mosquitos are out and lots of them. We are going to try some yard guard tomorrow.
We had a short meeting this afternoon to change destinations for a couple of the days. After much discussion, I think we have a plan. Tomorrow Mammoth to ride the Gondola and lunch then on Devils Postpile, then back to camp for dinner. Friday is a free day and fishing is on the agenda for some, shopping for the ladies or whatever what one wants to do. Saturday is a trip to Bodie a ghostoown, dinner at a Mobile Gas Station, more on that later.... Sunday a free day, Monday a trip to Upper Yosemite, we are not going into the Valley.
